Ikador stands on the seafront in Ika, a former fishing and shipbuilding village on the Opatija Riviera, between Opatija and Lovran on Croatia's Kvarner coast. The riviera was the Austro-Hungarian Empire's original seaside resort, developed from the 1880s as a winter health retreat for European aristocracy; Ika still carries the art nouveau villas built for that era's visitors. Ikador is a single boutique house of sixteen rooms and suites, each with a sea view and private balcony, set into that same stretch of rocky coast. The hotel is built around Nobilion, a Mediterranean restaurant drawing on Istrian truffles and Kvarner Bay seafood, and Riva Privée, a private chef's table run in partnership with the Italian yacht house Riva. Ikalia Spa occupies a full floor. Outside, a heated saltwater infinity pool sits beside the Riva Lounge pool bar, and a private wooden deck extends from the hotel into the sea, where the hotel's own Riva Aquariva Super is moored for guests to take out along the Kvarner archipelago.

Ikador opened its Riva Lounge and Riva Privée with the yacht house in 2019 — among the first hotels in the world to hold both — with its own Riva Aquariva Super kept at a private deck for guests to take out along the Kvarner archipelago.
