The Gold Coast reads as one long stretch of warm water — the Broadwater held behind the sand, the open sea beyond the bar, and the green hinterland rising in the distance. It is a coast built for long, unhurried days on the water. Charter here and the day shapes itself around the light. Anchor off a quiet sandbank for lunch, run the shoreline as the towers catch the afternoon sun, or hold offshore for the last of the gold. The crew know the tides, the anchorages, and the moment to turn for home.
THE BROADWATER
The coast keeps its calm water behind the sand. The Broadwater runs sheltered from Southport to South Stradbroke; the open sea is one Seaway crossing away.
Tipplers and South Stradbroke
A long lunch at anchor off the island’s western shore. Wallabies come down to the sand at Tipplers late in the day.
The skyline run
Out through the Seaway and along the beaches — the Surfers Paradise towers rise straight off the sand, best read from a mile offshore in the late light.
Whales offshore
Humpbacks work close inshore from June to October, northbound and back. The coast sits on the migration route.

Board at Main Beach — Marina Mirage or Southport Yacht Club — ten minutes from Surfers, forty from the airport.

Warm water most of the year; winters are dry, clear and mild, and the anchorages are quiet.
